BLOOD PRESSURES
When not on a call, someone on the Marshall Area EMS crew takes the ambulance over to the Marshall library and takes blood pressures, pulse rates and oxygenation saturation levels for the senior's Monday morning aerobics class. This takes place every Monday morning around 10 am.

MARSHALL FIREMAN'S FESTIVAL
Every year, Marshall Area EMS participates in the Marshall Fireman's Festival with an informational first-aid safety tent. Interested festival-goers can gain information about Marshall Area EMS and what it takes to become a member. We also provide first-aid the duration of the festival. Stop by our tent at the Fireman's Park to get to know our current members and learn about joining us.

STORY HOUR Every spring, during EMS Week, Marshall Area EMS is invited to the Marshall Library for Story Hour. Our members read books, show the ambulance and expose the kids to various immobilization devices (i.e. the kids might find themselves in a splint, Kendrick Extrication Device (KED) or cervical collar on a backboard). For more details of this event, please contact the Marshall Library. |
PRE-SCHOOL VISITS Marshall Area EMS also visits local pre-schools during EMS Week. We read an EMS story to the children, let them interact with different types of immobilization devices (i.e. splints, Kendrick Extraction Devices (KEDs), cervical collars, backboards, etc.), and show them the ambulance. |
